Pamekasan, Madura Island (ANTARA News) - Some 30 policemen had been seeking missing fishermen in Pamekasan, Madura, East Java, Tuesday.

Head of the Pamekasan police Commissioner Bambang Sulastro said the 30 police officers came from Larangan and Pamekasan police resorts.

He said the search was made near the location where the fishermen had been operating.

Bambang Sulastro was still not very sure what had caused the missing fishermen, but villagers suspected they had been hit by a very strong wind.

Three fisherman of Pamekasan had been missing since Monday. They were identified as Zainul (28), of Biyan Tengah, Kaduara Barat village, Larangan subdistrict, Abu Hasan (35), of Budhhagen II village, Larangan Luar, Larangan sub-district, and Adi (40), of Montok village, also Larangan sub-district.

Later two of three of them had been found, while another was still missing. (*)
