Jakarta (ANTARA News) - The Indonesian navy has again caught a Malaysian fishing boat in Batam waters, Riau Islands, Indonesian naval spokesman Commodore Tri Prasodjo said.

"The Malaysian vessel was caught by Indonesian naval patrol boat KRI Pulau Rangsang-727 in Batam waters," he said here Tuesday.

Tri said the 60,82 GT vessel captained by Malek Sarman Bin Shuib was arrested after it has been stopped and examined by Pulau Rangsang-727 personnel.

It later turned out that the vessel had no Port Clearance when entering Indonesian territorial waters. It also has no fishing gear in its hold, which indicated that the vessel had just been fishing in Indonesian waters and its captain was not on the ship," he said. (*)
