Jakarta (ANTARA News) - A forensic team of the National Police Headquarters is examining the DNA (Deoxyribo Nucleic Acid) of the suicide bomber who attacked the congregation of a police mosque in Cirebon last Friday , a spokesman said.

"We are still identifying the DNA of the bomber," Brigadier General Ahmad Musaddeq, the Medical and Health Department Head of National Police Headquartes, said at the Dr. Sukamto Police Hospital in Kramat Jati Saturday.

An autopsy on the bomber`s body had also been conducted to obtain his dental and fingerprint data, he said. He added, the examination was done to disclose the bomber`s identity.

"The medical data with their particular features were collected. We also obtained the DNA and fingerprint data through the Indonesia Automatic Fingerprint Identification System owned by the National Police," he added.

The police forensic team carried out those kind of examination by using Scientific Crime Investigation, he said.

"We do such investigation based on the technology and science that we have," he said.

The characteristics of the doer were a man who was about 25 to 30 years old. He was 180 cm height and 70 kilogram weight. His Mongoloid face and fair skin were the special characteristics.

Meanwhile, the forensic result showed he was beardy, one of his incisors was broken and there was healed scar on his left forehead, he added.(*)
