Gorontalo (ANTARA News) - A number of Tanzanian agriculture ministry officials on Tuesday made a comparative study relating to maize crop development in Gorontalo province.

The Tanzanian officals among other things paid a visit to the National Corn Information Center (BPIJ) in the province.

One of Tanzanian representatives, Alfred C. Luanda, said they were enthusiastic to learn how to grow corn as a superior commodity.

He said their visit was aimed to study the culture, technology, harvesting, marketing of products and corn processing into other products.

In addition, the Tanzanian officials also wished to get more information about the type of high yielding varieties suitable for cultivation in their country.(*)
