Beirut (ANTARA News/Xinhua-OANA) - The Lebanese Shiite armed group Hezbollah on Thursday issued a statement condemning Bahrain`s decision to execute four Bahraini nationals.

"Such a judgment is a continuation to the crime committed by the regime in Bahrain against its people," Hezbollah said in the statement.

"The reality of matters shows that these judgments are political and not judicial," said the statement, "the regime`s attempt to [show] it is a judicial [matter] will not succeed in hiding the truth of what the Bahrain people are [suffering] from. They are being oppressed because they are demanding their legitimate rights."

Hezbollah also voiced its concerns over current events in Bahrain.

A Bahraini military court sentenced four Shia protesters to death and three others to life in prison on Thursday over the killing of two policemen when security forces crushed a protest last month.(*)
