Mamuju, West Sulawesi (ANTARA News) - Justice and Human Rights affairs minister conducted an anti-corruption campaign here on Sunday, saying the country should combat three major enemies at present namely corruption, terrorism and drugs trafficking.

"We, at the Justice, Human Rights ministry are committed to fight the corruption practices and the ministry even will declare nationally as a government institution that is free from corruption," Patrialis Akbar said here on Sunday.

The anti-corruption declaration will be conducted simultaneously across Indonesia for officials or staffers in the Ministry of Justice and Human Rights, he said.

"This is our commitment in effort to support the law enforcement which has become a major concern of President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono," the minister cited.

Patrialis Akbar said further that the corruption eradication measure can be stepped up if all parties have common view to fight the corruption.

"The corruption practices in Indonesia must be prevented because they turn as development obstacle in the country. So, the law center which was inaugurated at the regional Justice and Human Rights office is expected to become an integrated legal service information center, so that the public awareness can increase and they obide by the law," the minister said.

Patrialis Akbar said the country needs togetherness to combat the corruption, terrorism and drugs trafficking as the major enemies.

So that the minister urged all his staffers to apply the shame culture of committing corruption in order to make the nation future better.

According to him, if anyone of the Justice and Human Rights ministry staffers commit corruption, he or she will receive a very heavy sanction in the form of dismissal.(*)
