Jakarta (ANTARA News) - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) plans to send a team of officers to Cambodia to coordinate with local law enforcing agencies in locating fugitive bribery suspect Nunun Nurbaeti.

"We are still making a schedule of the team`s dispatch to Cambodia," KPK Chief Busyro Muqoddas said after attending a function to declare eight corruption-free areas (WBK) at the Law and Human Rights Ministry here on Wednesday.

The team was the same as that dispatched to Thailand earlier, he said adding the KPK team in Thailand was now coordinating with the Thai Attorney General`s Office.

Busyro said the Interpol would soon issue a red notice for Nunun at the request of the the anti-graft body.

As part of efforts to bring Nunun home to Indonesia, the KPK has earlier proposed that the Law and Human Rights Ministry invalidate her passport.

Nunun was named a suspect in the bribery of a number of legislators to ensure the election of Miranda Goeltom as senior deputy governor of Bank Indonesia (BI), the central bank, in 2004. She allegedly had distributed an amount of money in the form of treveller`s cheques among the legislators shortly after the House endorsed her candidacy for the BI post.

The KPK had once asked Nunun`s family to help persuade her to return to Indonesia. Nunun, the wife of former National Police deputy chief Adang Daradjatun, had all along been reported to be residing in Singapore allegedly for treatment of amnesia.

But it was later known that she often traveled between Singapore and Thailand apparently to facilitate her extended stay in Singapore.(*)
