"We hereby sentence the defendant to 15 years in jail," said presiding judge Herry Swantoro at a court session here on Thursday.
Abu Bakar Ba`asyir, the chief of the Jamaah Ansharut Tauhid,was accused of involvement in terrorism. Previously the prosecutor had demanded a life sentence for him.
