Jakarta (ANTARA News) - Ten senior high school teachers have received awards from Citi Success Fund (CSF) for carrying out programs considered capable of growing students` entrepreneurship spirit and individuals` financial self-reliance.

School environment had a great potential to start development of students` knowledge of entrepreneurship and financial self-reliance, director-country corporate affairs head of Citi Indonesia Ditta Amahorseya said in a press statement issued on Thursday.

CSF is one of Citi Indonesia`s social initiatives under the auspice of Citi Care which collaborates with Hope Indonesia Foundation in providing financial assistance for senior high school teachers in organizing creative learning programs.

The initiative came from CSF which is concerned about the rising labor force in Indonesia which does not run parallel to the available job openings.

Data from the Central Statistics Agency (BPS) show Indonesian labor force reached 116 million in February 2010, up 2.26 million compared with 113.74 million in the same month a year earlier.

CSF provides Indonesian senior high school teachers with grants every year as part of efforts to encourage them to carry out learning activities which attract students.

The ten teachers were named winners of CSF awards after they had bested 75 contenders who had so far received CSF grants.

They received a cash prize of Rp3.5 million and a laptop each in addition to a laptop for their respective school.
