Jakarta (ANTARA News) - Two Indonesian warships will join the Brunei Fleet Review to be held from July 6 to 8, 2011.

Indonesian Navy spokesman Commodore Tri Prasodjo said here on Friday the Brunei Fleet Review would be part of the commemoration of the Golden Anniversary of Brunei Darussalam`s armed forces.

"The two Indonesian warships that will take part in the event are KRI Banjarmasin 592 and KRI Lembang 632 in addition to a Bolkow helicopter" he said.

The number of personnel to be involved meanwhile reaches 403, he added.

Tri said besides participating in the Fleet Review the Indonesian Navy while in that country would also conduct a city parade, an "open ship" (public visits to the ships) and courtesy calls on a number of local officials.

The Indonesian delegation will be led by Lt Col Eko Jokowiyono who is also the chief of the KRI Banjarmasin 592.

Besides sending ships the Indonesian Navy would also participate in the Brunei Darussalam International Defense Exhibition (BRIDEX) to increase cooperation between the two countries` navies as well as to display the navy`s home-made military hardwares.

The BRIDEX, which is also part of the golden anniversary commemoration events, is organized by the Royal Brunei Technical Service (RBTS) which is appointed by Brunei Darussalam ministry of defense.

RBTS is one of the defense industry operators in Brunei that has played a big role in providing technical and logistical support to equipment systems such as vehicles, ships, aircraft, electronic , IT, telecommunication equipment, firearms, security and training and supervision simulation.
