Jakarta (ANTARA News) - State oil and gas company PT Pertamina has conducted a maiden export of lubricating oil totaling three containers for shipping consumption to South Korea.

The company`s lubricating oil vice president, Supriyanto Dwi Utomo, said in a press statement here on Tuesday the products trade-marked Medripal 307, Medripal 570, Salyx 440, Fastron Series and Meditran Series.

"The buyer is Hyundai Heavy Industries," he said.

The export of marine lubricating oils was done at Lubricating Oil Production Unit in Tanjung Priok, North Jakarta, on Tuesday.

Supriyanto said after the export of marine lubricating oils the company would later also export automotive and industrial lubricating oils.

Pertamina`s lubricating oil products have been exported to a number of countries such as Belgium, Saudi Arabia, Myanmar, Singapore, Taiwan, the Philippines, Timor Leste, Malaysia, Bangladesh, Australia, Japan, China, Pakistan and United Arab Emirates.

Pertamina`s lubricating oil products at present control 60 percent of retail market in the country.

Pertamina also supplies lubricating oils to state-owned electricity company PLN for its generators.

In 2010, the contract for PLN reached Rp176 billion with a volume of 9,338 kiloliters.
