Jakarta (ANTARA News) - A total of 10 state-owned enterprises (SOEs) is organizing SOE Bazaars 2011 worth Rp11 billion in Jakarta to welcome the fasting month of Ramadhan next week.

The SOE Bazaar 2011 was opened by Minister of State-owned Companies Mustafa Abubakar at the Cilincing Islamic Center, North Jakarta, on Thursday.

"Opened simultaneously throughout the country, the target of organizing bazaars is to provide low-priced goods for financially weak people living around the bazaars," Mustafa said.

For Jakarta areas, the program will be held for four days on July 28-31 2011 in nine locations, namely Cengkareng, Kemayoran, Pulobadung Industrial Zone, Mampang Prapatan, Kebayoran Lama, Kebayoran Baru, Tebet/Bukit Duri and Seribu Islands.

Three commodities will be sold at a price 30 percent lower than their market prices, namely rice, sugar and cooking oil.

Rice will be sold at Rp29,000 per 5 kg, Bimoli cooking oil Rp15,500 per 2 liters and sugar Rp7,500 per kg.

In Cilincing, organizers will put on bazaar market 100 tons of rice, 50 tons of sugar and 50 tons of cooking oil.

SOEs which are directly involved in the bazaars included PT Pelindo II (Islamic Center, Tanjung Priok), PT Garuda Indonesia Tbk (Cengkareng) and PT Aneka Tambang Tbk (Kemayoran).

It also included PT Jakarta Industrial Estate Pulogadung (Pulo Gadung Industrial zone) and PT Sucofinfo (Mampang Prapatan, Kebayoran Lama, Kebayoran Baru).

In the meantime, PT Telekomunikasi Indonesia Tbk will organize a bazaar in Kepulauan Seribu (Thousand Islands) on July 29, 2011.
