Jakarta (ANTARA News) - Police in West Nusatenggara (NTB) have arrested another person linked to the Umar bin Khatab Islamic Boarding School in Bima as a terrorism suspect, the National Police Headquarters spokesman said.

The spokesman , Inspector General Anton Bachrul Alam, said here on Friday, the suspect who had been on the police`s wanted list was arrested on Thursday night in Dompu, NTB province.

The suspect was one of the boarding school`s caretakers who had reportedly dumped 26 bombs into a ravine in the Batu Pahat region in Bima.

"Last week, another terror suspect associated with the boarding school turned himself over to the police while two other suspects are still at large," Anton said.

The school`s principal, Ustadz Abrori, was named a terror suspect after undergoing intensive questioning at the West Nusa Tenggara Police Headquarters in July.

A number of people linked to the Umar bin Khattab boarding school were arrested for suspected involvement in terrorism after a bomb blast occurred at the school at Sila village, Bolo sub district , Bima district, on Monday, July 11, at around 15:30 local time, killing one of the school`s teachers, Firdaus.

The school`s principal, Ustadz Abrori, underwent questioning by police for 7 x 24 hours before he was named a suspect. During the whole process, Abrori was accompanied by a lawyer.

Abrori surrendered to the police on Friday, July 15, by informing the latter that he was staying at his parents` residence in Bima.

Not long after he had informed the police, Abrori was picked up from his parents` home and taken to the NTB police headquarters in Mataram on Saturday, July 16.
