Jakarta (ANTARA News) - Youth and Sports State Minister Andi Mallarangeng said graft suspect Muhammad Nazaruddin should be given full freedom to give as much testimony as possible with clear evidence.

"Now it is the time for Nazar (Nazaruddin) to give testimony to KPK with all its evidence after he has returned here and his case is being handled by the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK)," he said at the State Palace here on Monday.

Andi who is also a ruling Democrat Party figure has been one of the people accused by the former treasurer of the Democrat Party of being involved in his case.

Andi meanwhile has also denied Wafid Muharram`s testimony at the corruption court that he as the minister of youth and sports had coordinated with Nazaruddin with regard to the SEA Games athlete village project in Jakabaring, South Sumatra.

He said he never knew about the irregularities that had happened in the project and had so far only been reported about procedures in the development project by Wafid as the secretary of the ministry of youth and sports.

"They never reported about irregularities. What they reported were mere procedures," he said.

Andi hoped the case of bribery in his office could be uncovered thoroughly so that people would know who was really wrong.

"The case linked to the ministry of youth and sports must be uncovered thoroughly to make it clear who is right and wrong and must be held responsible for it," he said.

Andi said he was ready to come again to the KPK and give explanation if needed to settle the case.

"I have been summoned once and I am ready if I will be summoned again," he said.
