Prior to its match against Palestinian team, the Indonesian senior national team shared a 1-1 draw against the country`s junior team of under 23 yars of age (U-23) in the Manahan stadium Solo on Thursday (Aug 18) night.

Commenting on the draw results, the All-Indonesia Soccer Association (PSSI) executive committee coordinator for the national team division affairs, Bob Hippy was not yet satisfied to see the results of the friendly match.

"I am not satisfied to see the senior team achievement, they still lack of a neat play and lose the ball too fast," Bob said.

The national senior team in the first leg of the next Pre-World Cup 2014 round Group E, would face Iran which is believed to be the strongest opponent in the group.

In a tossup in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil recently, the Indonesian soccer team was put in Group E along with Iran, Qatar and Bahrain.

The national team underwent the exercises in the Manahan stadium for 11 days following a five-day training center in Cilegon, West Java.

In the meantime, Anjas Asmara, one of the former national soccer team members, suggested that the Indonesian team in the next matches

should apply the quick pattern game.

Anjas said the character of the Middle Eastern teams such as Iran, Qatar and Bahrain which will become the Indonesian team`s opponents in the third round of the pre-World Cup even frequently apply the fast from foot-to-foot game.

The former player of the Jakarta`s Persija eleven also said that the national team should play cheerfully especially in facing the official international matches like the Pre-World Cup Championship.

"They should play with the relaxed and happy manner, without tension. Playing in excitement is the characteristic of a team that really enjoys the game to pursuit of victory," Anjas said here on Wednesday.

Anjas also criticized the senior national team when playing against Turkmenistan and in facing Palestinian team recently in a try-out match that appeared to be at a loss when facing the opponent attacks.

In his suggestion, Anjas also said there should be a "commander" in the middle of the field who can create an atmosphere of joy.

For instance, when the senior national team had led 4-1 when facing Turkmenistan, there should be a player who led the team to play happily and enjoyed the game to maintain the victory, he said.

In addition, Anjas criticised the game pattern applied by the coach Wim Rijsbergen because the Indonesian players posture is suitable when relying on the long passes.

Anjas said the long passes actually can become the backfire to the national team when the opponent can cut the bait and then launch counterattack.

According to him, the Indonesian players posture actually similar to that of the Spanish players who are not too high at the average.

According to Anjas, the similar pattern of game should be applied in playing against the teams from the Middle East with the much larger role of a midfield players in supplying the ball.

"Otherwise, our team will get difficult," Anjas Asmara who pay more attention to the quick foot-to-foot game reminded.
