Makassar, South Sulawesi (ANTARA News) - Idul Fitri travelers flowing through Makassar seaport of South Sulawesi peaked on Thursday with four motorized ships serving them, a port official said.

"Today four ships docked at the piers of the Makassar port to serve Idul Fitri travelers," Totok Iswanto, a port terminal official, said here on Thursday.

The four ships were KM Kerinci, KM Kalimutu, KM Willis and KM Dempo which arrived from a number of regions in Indonesia.

KM Dempo arrived at 1.0 am local time (Wita) and left for Ambon at 4.0 am Wita, KM Kerinci arrived at 9.0 am Wita from Bau Bau and left for Balikpapan at 5.pm Wita, KM Willis and KM Kalimutu arrived in the evening and left for Bau-Bau and Maumera respectively.

Arsidi, a passenger, has been waiting for KM Willis before it arrived. "We had better wait at the port. We are afraid to be left by the ship because we live outside Makassar," he said.
