London (ANTARA News) - Zakarias Benny Noboba and Claudio Marsello won a gold and a silver medal respectively at the Sixth Heathrow Aerobic Gymnastics International Club Meeting held in Bracknell, England, September 2-4, 2011.

Zakarias (14) of West Papua Province won the gold medal after achieving the highest score of 15,450, Fahmy Fachrezzy, the head of the Indonesian delegation to the international Aerobic Gymnastic competition, said here on Tuesday.

He charmed the jury and the audience for performing a choreography featuring Papua`s culture, Fahmy said.

Another Indonesian athlete, Claudio Marsello (20) from Jakarta, won a silver medal in the competition after meeting Ivan Parejo of Spain, who twice won the world championship.

Indonesia`s Aerobic Gymnastics Club participatedin the Sixth Heathrow Aerobic Gymnastics International Club Meeting held in Bracknell, England, September 2- 4, 2011.

The aerobic gymnastics event was participated in by 22 aerobic gymnastics clubs from 12 countries.

Indonesia sent a seven-member team including two male athletes, namely Claudio Marsello and Zakarias Benny Noboba (14), Fahmy Fachrezzy said.

"We have also brought along an international juror from Jakarta, namely Slamet Widodo, who will assist the committee," Fahmy said.

The Indonesian delegation also comprised a coach, a manager and an official. (*)
