Jakarta (ANTARA News) - An earthquake measuring 5.1 on the Richter Scale jolted southeast Kaimana, West Papua at 02:29:31 p.m local time.

According to the Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG), the epicentre of the earthquake was at 4.72 degrees southern latitude and 133.97 degrees eastern longitude or 118 km southeast of Kaimana, West Papua, 170 km northeast of Tual, Maluku; or 226 km southwest of Rasiei, Papua and at a depth of 10 km.

There were no immediate reports of casualties or material damage and the earthquake did not have the potential of triggering a tsunami.
