Jakarta (ANTARA News) - Port operator Pelindo II has set itself the target of reaping an income of Rp6 trillion in 2012, up from the projected income of Rp4.5 trillion this year, its president director said.

"We predict our income next would reach Rp5 trillion to Rp6 trillion with a net profit of reaching Rp2 trillion," Pelindo II President Director RJ Lino said here recently.

Lino said the company`s income in 2010 reached Rp3.1 trillion and it is predicted at Rp4.5 trillion in 2011.

He said that his company had in the last several years been able to raise its income thanks to its success in carrying out efficiency drive.

"Of course it is also generated by the increase in the operations of in almost all seaports under its management," he said.

He said that a number of seaports posted an average increased income of 200 percent.

Lino did not mention the net income of all ports, yet he said that Tanjung Priok port posted a growth of 34 percent, Teluk Panjang 480 percent, Teluk Bayur 400 percent, Pelembang 440 percent and Pontianak 150 percent.

"With the increase in these ports` net profit, we predict the company`s net profit in 2011 could reach Rp2 trillion, up from Rp1.26 trillion in 2010," he said.(*)
