Jakarta (ANTARA News) - PT Hutama Karya has projected a profit of Rp152 billion in 2012, up 33.33 percent from this year`s profit projection of Rp114 billion, its President Director S Subagyono said.

He said that the company`s profit projection in 2012 was supported by the corporate sales turnout which were predicted to amount to Rp4.6 trillion, or an increase by 39.33 percent from that a year earlier which stood at Rp3.3 trillion.

"For this purpose, we have established cooperation with other state-owned companies (BUMN), one of which is in the form of operational cooperation or consortium with a BUMN," he said.

Subagyono said that with the achievement, PT Hutama Karya would be able to contribute Rp606 billion in the form of tax and dividends to the state next year.

Besides, the company could also indirectly help the government in the form of workers absorption next year, with the number of regular workers reaching 24,300 personnel and non regular one totaling to 194,400.

Recently, PT Hutama Karaya has had the intention to hold an initial public offering to float 40 percent of its shares to the public.

"This means that the company is expecting a fresh fund of Rp1 trillion that will be used for its expansion and develop its subsidiaries," Subagyono said.

PT Hutama Karya owns a number of subsidiaries, among others, PT Hutama Karya Realtindo set up in 2010, Pole and Aston. These subsidiaries are doing business in the manufacturing industry sector.
