Jakarta (ANTARA News) - Toyota Indonesia concerns on Thailand`s flood disaster might create the impact on its production and marketing lined in Indonesia, the company`s spokesperson said.

"We are still monitoring whether the Toyota spare part supplier to Indonesia had been seriously hit by the heavy floods recently or not," said Toyota Astra Motor Marketing Director Joko Trisanyoto here Wednesday.

Several Indonesian Toyota based automotive production parts still had to be imported from Thailand, including rear view mirrors and seat belts, he said.

Indonesian car production would be disrupted if its spare part supplies are delayed, besides there are some completely built up (CBU) cars imported from Thailand, Joko said.

These imported CBUs namely Toyota Camry, Toyota Altis, Toyota Vios, Toyota Yaris (hatchback) and Hi-Lux pickup trucks.

"The number of CBU imported cars sold in Indonesia is considered small reaching only only 10-15 percent," Joko said.

If supplies from Thailand are disrupted Indonesian Toyota Astra Motor would lose at least its sales potential up to 3,000-4,500 units per months.

In September, TAM sales reached 30,041 units, up 60.1 percent over the same month last year.

Based on data from TAM, in September, sales of sedans and Toyota trucks imported from Thailand reached 3678, which consisted of Crown, Camry, Altis, Vios, Yaris and Hilux.

TAM is a leader in car sales in Indonesia with a market share of 36.5 percent of the total national car sales of 77,864 units in September.

Meanwhile, during the January-September 2011 period, sales have reached 239,761 units TAM or controlled 38.4 percent of the national car sales of 540,600 units.
