Jakarta (ANTARA News) - Corruption suspect Nunun Nurbaeti is to be taken to the Pondok Bambu jail after being questioned at the Corruption Eradication Commission`s (KPK) office, a source said.

"She will be taken there after finishing a health check and early questioning session with KPK staff," Deputy Chief of KPK Chandra Hamzah said here on Saturday at a press conference.

Nunun arrived at the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) office in Jakarta on Saturday at 18.20 local time after being deported from Thailand.

Chandra said Nunun was arrested by Thai police on Wednesday (Dec 7). Having received the information, he said, a small team from KPK including himself left for Bangkok on Thursday (Dec 8) to check the information.

After matching data between the two sides, he said, Thai police on Dec 10 took Nunun to meet the KPK team on board a Garuda Indonesia plane parked at Swarnabhumi airport.

"That`s when we first met her. We explained to her about the arrest and she signed the arrest letter," he said adding that extradition to Indonesia was conducted on Saturday noon at 14.30 local time.

Up till now, he said, Nunun was still being questioned inside the KPK office in Jakarta. Her family, lawyer and private doctor had also arrived at the KPK office. (*)
