Palu, Central Sulawesi (ANTARA News) - A low explosive bomb is found in a traditional market in Palu Selatan sub-district on Monday morning, the province`s Chief of Mobile Brigade Unit Ahmad Subarkah said here on Monday.

"It is an assembled bomb with low explosives," he said adding that the bomb was found by the local people around 05.30 in the morning in front of a traditional market with specialty of selling pork meat.

The market itself was located near three churches in the area, Ahmad said.

According to information, the market had been hit by bomb earlier in 2005 causing eight casualties and injuring tens of people.

Meanwhile, Chief of Palu city`s Police Precinct Office Ahmad Ramadhan said the characteristic of the recently found bomb was similar to the pipe-bomb that was found in Poso district sometime ago.

He said the police was still gathering information about the actors behind the bomb terror. (*)
