Jakarta (ANTARA News) - Saving Underwriter (LPS) said that the total investment fund placement in State Securities (SBN) in 2011 reached Rp18.697 trillion.

"In 2011 the investment fund placements accounted for 93 pct of the total LPS of Rp20.06 trillion," head of LPS Firdaus Djaelani said at the House of Representatives building in Jakarta Wednesday.

Firdaus said the SBN dominated the LPS in 2011, reaching 93 pct of the total investment fund.

"In addition, some are thing spaced in Bank Indonesia Certificates (SBI) amounting to Rp1.5 trillion," Firdaus said.

The placement of investment in SBN, Firdaus said, promised a profit of 7.11 pct, and SBI only 6.8 pct.

"We have divided SBN into several compositions. To maintain liquidity of LPS, the biggest composition is short term totalling Rp13.109 trillion," Firdaus said.

Firdaus added that last year LPS gained a premium from Bank Perkreditan Rakyat (BPR) or BPR Syariah amounting to Rp74.2 billion and general banks Rp4.952 trillion.
