Palangka Raya, Central Kalimantan (ANTARA News) - The Borneo Orangutan Survival (BOS) Foundation will set free a total of 600 orangutans into the Central Kalimantan forests in the course of 2012.

BOS Foundation builder Prof DR Ir Bungaran Saragih said in Palangka Raya on Monday that the last time BOS released nine orangutans nine years ago, because of the lack of forests save to release them.

He said besides forests, another problem is the wrong paradigm that only Non Government Organizations (NGO) could save orangutans. But it turned out later that NGOs themselves cannot save orangutans.
