Jakarta (ANTARA News) - National Airline Company PT Garuda Indonesia this year planned to establish cooperation with 1,600 corporations to earn a total of Rp3 trillion.

The company`s president director Emirsyah Satar said in Jakarta on Friday that the plan is in line with the development of the corporate market in increasing the company`s market share on the domestic and international routes.

"Since February 2012 the company has been trying to develop global distribution channels by way of corporate account global contract cooperation," he said.

To support the program, the company has always been providing access facilities for its corporate partners through Garuda`s Online Booking Corporate facilities and corporate market development at overseas branch offices.

"Garuda has established corporate sales cooperation with more than 1,469 big companies in Indonesia," he said.

This year the company expects a 30 pct increase to 22 million passengers compared to last year`s 17.1 million.

To increase its performance this year the company has allocated 400 million US dollars (Rp3.63 trillion) in capital budget.

The capital budget had been obtained by the company from an internal cash combination of 60-70 pct and the rest from external cash resources.

The capital budget will be spent more on increasing the number of planes and returning the pre-delivery payments and security deposits of leased planes.

This year the state owned airline company also planned to purchase 21 more planes including 11 Garuda planes and 10 for Citilink business.
