Jakarta (ANTARA News) - Entrepreneurs grouped together in Indonesian Young Businessmen Association (HIPMI), Indonesian Indegenious Businessmen Association (HIPPI) and Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KADIN) declare establishment of ”Jakarta Entreprenuer Centre” (JEC), in Jakarta, this Thursday.

Initiator of the Centre, Syahrial Yusuf, also a President Director of Lembaga Pendidikan dan Pengembangan Profesi Indonesia/Educational and Profession Development Institute (LP3I), told the press, the Centre groups together over 100 businessmen and other national business figures.

The declaration of the Centre, held in conjuction with the 23rd anniversary of LP3I, at Balai Kartini, attended by among others Fahmi Idris, one of LP3I commissioners and several national education figures.

According to Yusuf, by upholding the mission of “changing Indonesia through proliferating entrepreneurs,” JEC has the objectives of embracing national businessmen to make them contribute concretely in producing more and more new entrepreneurs who are capable of rendering their contribution to the nation’s economic progress.

In this context, JEC will embark on programs with the focus of bolstering up businessmen’s commitment in providing education to the younger generation in the field of entrepreneurship as well as training and guiding them to be successful businessmen. Whereas, within LP3I itself, has been set up an Entrepreneur House as an incubator for the students.

In encouraging the emergence of new entrepreneurs and the expansion of job opportunities, besides setting up LP3I, Yusuf has also several units of educational institutes, such as Azzahra Islamic University, STIAMI, STIMIK Global, STIA Banten and ASMI Banjarmasin. In addition, he has also created new business units covering business lines from agro-business, property up to mineral water.

Since its establishment on March 29, 1989, LP3I has some unique features such as the concept of Link and Match, which is an educational system whose activities preparing the alumni able to be ready for job markets, based on curricula which are adjusted with the needs of job markets.

Since its establishment up to now, there have been at least 50,000 LP3I graduates have been absorbed by the job markets.

In 2010, LP3I gained the MURI Records as an educational institution with the biggest numbers of its graduates accepted in the job market, and as Indonesia’s pioneer in the concept of Link and Match educational concept. In the efforts of increasing the educational and service qualities, LP3I has implemented ISO 9001:2008.
