Bogor, W Java (ANTARA News) - A number of Tapos I village, Tenjolaya sub district, Bogor district admitted that they saw the reported missing Sukhoi Superjet 100 flew over their village at around 15:00 pm on Wednesday.

"A number of residents earlier admitted that they saw the missing plane passed on the Bogor`s sky," Mount Halimun National Park resort chief Yandri Kurniawan said here Wednesday.

Yandri also participated in the preparation of the missing commercial aircraft search which was reported to have lost contact and predicted to have crashed at around the Mount Salak area in West Java.

"We have not found the aircraft if it fell at around Mount Salak area," he said.

"The residents` information only mentioned about the plane that was flying low over the Tapos village`s air space. They saw a plane that flew over their village," he said.

There are no explosion sounds or the plane`s debris reported from the local residents following the accident in the area.

Indonesian National Search and Rescue Agency`s team had sent two helicopters to search the missing plane but returned to the airports due to the bad weather.

Sukhoi Superjet 100 aircraft is the first commercial jet aircraft manufactured by Russian Sukhoi which certified by the FAA (Federation Aviation Association) of the United States two years ago.

The missing Sukhoi Superjet100 aircraft carried a number of businessmen and officials to promote the plane`s sale, the aircraft is reported to have made two demonstration flights at Halim Perdanakusumah airport, Jakarta.

As reported, the plane carried 50 invited guests including five journalists.

The national search and rescue joint team hoping to make a follow up search on Thursday, May 10, 2012.
