Jakarta (ANTARA News) - The remains of another victim of the Sukhoi Superjet 100 crash arrived at Halim Perdanakusumah airbase in Jakarta on a Search and Rescue (SAR) helicopter at 14.55 local time.

Based on ANTARA`s monitoring at the Jakarta airbase, eight victims have been airlifted from the crash site at Mount Salak, West Java.

The remains have been airlifted to Jakarta then sent directly to the National Police Hospital in Kramat Jati, East Jakarta, for further identification by the Police`s Disaster Victim Identification unit.

According to the National Search and Rescue Agency`s spokesperson Gagah Prakoso, here today, the number of airlifted victims could increase by the end of the day.

"There is a chance that there will be more body bags coming, the weather there is better than during the previous day," Gagah said.

So far, nine bodies have been airlifted from the evacuation post at Pasir Pogoh, West Java.
