"The downloading of the CVR`s contents will need one week."
Bogor, West Java (ANTARA News) - Chairman of the National Search and Rescue Agency (Basarnas) Vice Marshal Daryatmo handed over the ill-fated Sukhoi Superjet 100`s black box, to Head of the National Committee of Transportation Safety (KNKT) Tatang Kurniadi, at Pasir Pogor Square, here, Wednesday.

The newly found black back or the Cockpit Voice Recorder (CVR), will later be flown to Jakarta for further investigation into the cause of the air crash that killed 45 people on board, last week (May 9).

"Another that has not yet be found, namely Flight Data Recorder (FDR)," Daryatmo said.

The CVR was burned during the accident so that its previously orange color turns into black.

The Basarnas chief He has ordered rescuers to keep on looking for more bodies and FDR.

The KNKT chief said it will take some time to down load the contents of the CVR.

"The downloading of the CVR`s contents will need one week," Tatang Kurniadi said.

Five members of the Army`s Special Force Command (Kopassus) led by First Lieut Taufik Akabar retrieved the black bock on Tuesday evening, around 100 meters away from the plane`s tail that was destroyed in the accident, in a ravine of Mount Salak, Bogor, West Java.

The Russian-made SSJ-100 with 45 people on board - eight Russians, 35 Indonesians, one Frenchman, and one American - was on a demonstration flight when it crashed into Mount Salak in Bogor district, West Java, on Wednesday (May 9) afternoon.

On Thursday morning, a SAR team aboard a helicopter spotted the plane`s wreckage on the edge of a cliff about 5,500 feet (1,650 metres) high on Mount Salak.

The evacuation process, however, could not begin before Friday morning because of extreme weather conditions and difficult terrain in the mountainous area. So far, there have been no reports of survivors.

Russia has sent three separate teams to help in the evacuation of the victims` bodies from the plane`s wreckage, the identification process of the victims` remains, and the investigation into the cause of the crash, respectively.
