... heard the shots up to five times and then saw Supriatna laying on the ground and died on the location...
Bogor, W Java (ANTARA News) - A witness said the shots later found killing two security guards of state Bogor Institute of Agriculture (IPB) on Friday afternoon were from anti-terrorist operations.

"Many Muslims who were about to conduct Friday prayers thought of a terrorist raid while some others a robbery," Glady "Yayan" Hardiyanto, an activist of the Indonesia Eco-Lable Institute (LEI) who is also a post graduate student of the university said.

Two security guards of the university, namely Supriatna (44) and Suhardi (46) died after being shot ahead of the Friday prayers.

Glady said he was about to meet his mentor about his final assignment and to conduct Friday prayers at the university's Al-Hurriyah mosque when the incident happened.

"I took a place on the second floor and suddenly I heard shots being fired, four or five shots," he said.

After the prayers all congregation members went down and saw two security guards laying motionless at the parking lot of the mosque, he said. Based on pictures recorded by cellphone by other students

It was seen the security guards had been shot in the stomach and heart. "One was laying face up and the other face down," he said.

He said some people said they had been shot by thieves who wished to steal motorcycles while others said the attackers wished to take a revenge to the first person they had shot.

"Those are mere stories from people while it would be the police that could really determine the cause of the incident," he said.

The executive secretary of the university, Bony PW Soekarno, meanwhile said to ANTARA that Supriatna and Suhardi had been sprayed with bullets five or seven minutes before the Friday prayers began.

"I myself heard the shots up to five times and then saw Supriatna laying on the ground and died on the location," he said. He said after hearing four shots he heard other shots and all people lay down.

After the shots, he said he then went out of the mosque and saw Suhardi already laying on the ground. He said people then tried to find the perpetrators but they had only seen "someone fleeing on a motorbike."
