Biak (ANTARA News) - A aquarium fish exports of Biak Numfor regency, Papua, to Singapore and Malaysia in March this reached 4,432 US dollars.

The Trade and Industry Agency said Sunday the aquarium fish exports to Singapore were carried out by CV Biak Biru reached 156 kilograms, and to Malaysia 207 kilograms.

"Compared to the same period last year, the aquarium fish exports by CV Biak Biru this year had declined," official of the Industry and Trade Agency Nicolas Sroyer said.

The waters of Biak are now still highly prospective in supporting fish exports to many other countries.

According to data, the exports of other commodities in Biak Numfor regency had been declining in the last ten years following the closure of the fish canning company in Biak Mina Jaya and the prohibition of log exports.
