Jakarta (ANTARA News) - President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono will deliver his keynote address to the World Economic Forum East Asia (WEFEA) to be held in Bangkok on Thursday,

The President will leave for the Thai capital on Thursday for the forum, his special aide for international affairs, Teuku Faizasyah said in a press statement released on Wednesday.

"The President will visit Thailand at the invitation of Thai Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra. On May 31, 2012, the Indonesian President will become one of speakers of the panel leaders during the WEFEA`s opening ceremony. On Friday morning, the Indonesian President will hold bilateral talks with Premier Yingluck Shinawatra before continuing his trip to Singapore," he said.

Yudhoyono will attend Shangri-La Dialogue while in Singapore, he said.

"In Singapore, the Indonesian President is expected to deliver his keynote address to the Shangri-La dialogue. The forum is an annual meeting to discuss defence and security in the Asia Pacific region. The Indonesian President will be a main guest in the forum this year. In addition, he will also meet with Singapore President Tony Tan Keng Yam and Singapore Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong," he said.

The President will take advantage of the two forums to voice Indonesia`s ideas of how to boost economic development in support of social welfare and to create peace and stability in the Asia Pacific region.

The President and First Lady Ani Yudhoyono are scheduled to return home on May 2.
