"We want to do the best to prevent any mistake and inaccuracy."
Jakarta (ANTARA News) - President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono has praised the State Audit Board (BPK) for its hard work to audit the use of state funds.

BPK not only took action on inaccuracy of the government`s financial report but also prevented mistakes in it, the President said when receiving the audit report of the central government`s financial statement from BPK at the State Palace here on Wednesday.

He said he was pleased that BPK had prioritized preventive efforts to prevent any mistake as early as possible.

"I like the preventive efforts so any mistake, misunderstanding and negligence can be prevented. I am glad and thank BPK for the stand. We want to do the best to prevent any mistake and inaccuracy. Therefore, there must be partnership. My expectation is that BPK will always remind us of any mistake and inaccuracy and give us counseling and clarity in this beloved country," he said.

BPK chief Hadi Purnomo meanwhile said the agency gave qualified opinion to the government`s financial report.

The BPK`s audit of the government`s financial report covered the government`s balance sheets ended on December 31, 2011 and 2010, report of the state budget realization, report of the government`s cash flow and financial reports ended on December 31, 2010 and 2011.

Also present at the function were Vice President Boediono, all cabinet ministers and other high-ranking officials.

The agency had earlier reported the results of its audit of the government`s financial report to the House of Representatives on May 29 this year.
