"The lamps in my office also moved."
Bandung, West Java (ANTARA News) - An earthquake registered 6.1 on the Richter scale in the district of Sukabumi, West Java, at around 6.18pm on Monday was also felt in Bandung.

Quake data of the Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) said the epicenter of the tremor is located 7.99 southern latitude and 106.19 eastern longitude, 121 kilometers southwest of Sukabumi regency, West Java, in a depth of 24 kilometers.

"At 6.18 pm an earthquake strikes," BMKG researcher Dedi Septiadi said by phone.

A Bandung resident, Abdullah (40, said he panicked when he felt the tremor.

"I was on the second floor of my office when I felt my working table moving. The lamps in my office also moved. Then I decided to go down stairs and go out from the office building. I felt the quake was moving less than a minute," Abdullah said.
