Jakarta (ANTARA News) - The Corruption Eradication Commision (KPK) has named two Malaysian citizens for allegedly protecting corruption suspect Neneng Sri Wahyuni.

KPK chief Abraham Samad said here on Thursday the two Malaysian men would be charged with articles on justice obstruction.

Earlier, KPK commissioner Busyro Muqoddas said that one of the Malaysian citizens had allegedly met Neneng`s husband, Nazaruddin, at the Cipinang jail where the former ruling Democrat Party treasurer served his sentence for corruption before he was arrested along with his friend at a hotel in Senen, Central Jakarta.

The Malaysian embassy meanwhile has contacted the KPK in connection with the arrest of the Malaysian nationals.

Malaysian ambassador Dato Syed Munshe Afdzaruddin bin Syed Hassan had also visited KPK to assure the status of the two Malaysian citizens following reports about their connection with the Malaysian royalty.

He had been assured that the two Malaysian nationals are not advisers of one of the royalties in Malaysia.

The KPK arrested Neneng on Wednesday upon arrival at his home in Pejaten, South Jakarta, after being wanted in connection with her involvement in corruption. (*)
