Jakarta (ANTARA News) - Czech President Vaclav Klaus will make a state visit to Indonesia on Saturday to Tuesday (July 8-10) as an invitation from Indonesian President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono.

"It will be the first state visit for the Czech President to Indonesia since the diplomatic relations between Czech and Indonesia started in 1993. The visit is aimed to strengthen the bilateral relations in the future, as well as identifying new opportunities in the partnership," said Indonesian Presidential Foreign Affairs Spokesman Teuku Faizasyah in a press release received by ANTARA, Saturday.

In the first day of his visit, President Klaus will be in Yogyakarta to hold a business luncheon with local businessmen, then he continues to see Prambanan and Borobudur temples, and Yogyakarta Palace.

On Sunday evening, Klaus will fly to Jakarta and have bilateral meeting with President Yudhoyono on Monday (July 9). Klaus will also scheduled to attend Czech-Indonesia Business Forum and Roundtable Discussion and Book Presentation at Freedom Institute in Jakarta. On Tuesday (July 10) the Czech President will visit the Kalibata Heroes Cemetery.

During the visit, President Klaus will be accompanied by Czech First Lady Livia Klausova, Environment Minister and 17 businessmen from the Republic.

The participation of the Czech businessmen in the visit was expected to create an agreement on mutual trade and investment, Faizasyah said. (*)
