Jakarta (ANTARA News) - PT Hyundai Mobil Indonesia (HMI) said it hopes to grab a larger share of the car market in the country with its new models of sport utility vehicle (SUV), New Santa Fe and Tucson XG.

New Santa Fe and Tucson XG, which are displayed by the sole agent of the Korean cars at the Indonesia International Motor Show (IIMS) 2012 have attracted buyers, HMI President Yongkie D. Sugiarto said on Tuesday.

The two models are expected to contribute considerably to expanding Hyundai market share in the country, Yongkie said at the IIMS 2012 being held here.

All New Hyundai Sante Fe, were first launched at a New York Auto Show, in April 2012, Yongkie said.

All New Santa Fe, which uses newest 2,200cc Common Rail Diesel Injection engine with 197 PS is sold at Rp449 million.

Hyundai Tucson is the first SUV with Sport Coupe introduced in Indonesia.

The car uses 2,000 cc Theta II engine with 166 PS.
