Jakarta (ANTARA News) - An earthquake measuring 6.0 on the Richter scale jolted the Sangihe Islands of North Sulawesi at 11.42 am local time on Wednesday.

According to the Meteorology Climatology and Geophysics Agency, the epicentre of the earthquake was located along 4.04 degree of Northern Latitude and 124.63 degree of Eastern Longitude or 113 km northwest of Sangihe Islands, 278 km northwest of Manado or 2,282 northeast of Jakarta, at the depth of 208 km.

The earthquake has no tsunami potential. (*)
