Mamuju, West Sulawesi (ANTARA News)- The West Sulawesi provincial government will build seven micro-hydro power plants worth Rp17,5 billion, governor Anwar Adnan Saleh has said.

"The 7 micro-hydro power plants (PLTMH) are constructed in four districts namely in Majene, Mamuju, Polman and Mamasa," Anwar said here on Monday.

The micro-hydro power plants constitute the investment projects in effort to develop the industrial sector and boost the provincial economic growth.

Each of the PLTMH has one up to two million watts and will accelerate the industrial sector in West Sulawesi province, Anwar pointed out.

The industrial sector which will be constructed in 2013 are among other things the cooking oil factory, rattan industry, fish processing industry and a cocoa factory, the governor added.
