Vientiane (ANTARA News) - President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono held bilateral talks with his French counterpart Francois Hollande on the sidelines of the 9th Asia-Europe Meeting (ASEM) here on Monday evening.

The meeting took place after the first plenary session of the summit held at the National Convention Center.

Earlier in the day, the Indonesian leader also held a bilateral meeting with Norwegian Prime Minister Jens Stoltenberg ahead of the opening of the 9th ASEM.

The two meetings were held in VVIP room on the second floor of Dhon Chan Palace Hotel.

During the meetings, President Yudhoyono were accompanied by Foreign Minister Marty Natalegawa, Trade Minister Gita Wirjawan and Industry Minister MS Hidayat.

On Tuesday, President Yudhoyono is scheduled to attend the second plenary session of the summit. He will return home later in the day.

Yudhoyono is in Laos on the second leg of his two-nation tour which also took him to the United Kingdom. (S012/YH)
