Nusa Dua, Bali (ANTARA News) - President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono on Friday morning received Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad in Nusa Dua, Bali.

The Indonesian head of state received Ahmadinejad at approximately 10:10 am local time, before holding bilateral talks on increasing cooperation between the two countries.

Ahmadinedjad expressed hope that the 5th Bali Democracy Forum would create harmony among nations around the world.

"For the past five years, the forum has been on the right track and I hope it will continue to promote harmony among countries worldwide," he said.

Ahmadinejad stated that all countries across the globe "need to cooperate for a better future".

"The objective of this democracy forum is to help governments improve their governance and their country's prosperity. It is a sacred cause," he continued.

However, Ahmadinejad pointed out the forum's goal would not be achieved if the global community did not focus on justice and freedom for all countries across the world.

"When all nations join hands to enforce justice, that will be the happiest day for humanity," he said.
