Jakarta (ANTARA News) - Some 2,000 fun-bikers took part in Sunday`s fun-bike event held here to enliven the Prosperous Indonesian National Social Solidarity (KSN Indotera) Expo and to coincide with the National Heroes Day 2012.

The fun-bike march was seen off by Toto Utomo Budi Santosa, secretary general of the Ministry of Social Affairs, at the Kalibata Heroes Cemetery complex, South Jakarta, on Sunday.

Toto said that besides, celebrating the KSN Indotera Expo, the event was also intended to bring the people closer to the Kalabata Heroes Cemetery.

He said that in the last five years the expo had been organized in a closed-door room in the Jakarta Convention Center so that it attracted only a small number of people.

For 2012, the ministry of social affairs in its capacity of the organizer of the Heroes Day celebration held the expo at the Kalibata Heroes Cemetery Convention Center, he said.

He said that the heroes cemetery was not only a place for heroes to rest in peace but also a place where people could also visit tombs so that they could bring the people closer to their heroes who had contributed their services to the state and nation.

The KSN Indotera Expo is being attended by 130 stands of a number of ministries, state institutions, social services, private entities, non-governmental organizations, small-and medium scale businesses and community business groups.
