Pontianak, W Kalimantan (ANTARA News) - A motor vessel loaded with basic necessaries sank in Kapuas River, West Kalimantan, on Thursday after being hit by a tanker owned by state oil and gas company Pertamina.

"We are in the middle of removing items from MV Rima Perkasa, while its skipper still looks shocked," the head of the Pontianak coast guard section, Suhardi, said.

The motor vessel met the accident while on its way from Semarang, Central Java, to Pontianak.(*)
