"No one was injured."
Jakarta (ANTARA News) - State oil and gas company Pertamina denied on Thursday that motor vessel Rema Perkasa sank after it collided with tanker MT Asumi XXVI in Kapuas River in West Kalimantan province earlier in the day.

"No one was injured," Pertamina Vice President for Corporate Communication Ali Mundakir said.

Pertamina hired the tanker to carry fuel oil.

The tanker collided with the vessel loaded with basic necessaries when it left the Pontianak ship channel after unloading fuel oil on Thursday at 06.42 a.m.

The accident occurred when the tanker`s bow hit the right hold of the vessel which sailed from Semarang, Central Java, to Pontianak, West Kalimantan.

An earlier report had it that the vessel sank in the accident.
