Jakarta (ANTARA News) - Indonesian President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono met with Argentina`s President, Cristina Elisabet Fernandez de Kirchner, at noon on Thursday, after floods around the Presidential Palace receded.

President Yudhoyono was initially scheduled to meet President Kirchner in the morning. However, due to flood around the Presidential Palace, the meeting was delayed.

Earlier, Tengku Faizasyah, a presidential staff for international relations, said the Argentinean President will be in Indonesia from January 16 to 18.

President Yudhoyono and President Kirchner will look into ways to increase economic cooperation between the two countries.

President Kirchner will also meet Indonesia`s top businessmen. Some 230 Argentinean businessmen will also be present at the meeting. President Kirchner will visit the National Museum and the Hero Cemetery Complex in Kalibata.

Argentina is Indonesia`s third largest trading partner in Latin America, after Brazil and Mexico. Indonesia is Argentina`s largest trading partner in Southeast Asia.

As of October 2012, trade value between the two countries had reached US$1.67 billion. ***1***
