Jakarta (ANTARA News) - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has arrested three suspects involved in an alleged high profile bribery case implicating a political party chief.

"AF (Ahmad Fathanah) is held at the KPK detention house while JE (Juard Effendi) at Salemba and AAE (Arya Abdi Effendi) at the Cipinang denterion centers," KPK spokesman Johan Budi said here on Thursday.

Another suspect implicated in the case is chief of the Prosperous Justice Party (PKS), LHI (Lutfhi Hasan Ishaaq) who is now still being questioned by the KPK.

Juard Effendi and Arya Abdi Effendi, directors of PT Indoguna Utama were caught at around 10.30pm on Tuesday at the house of Arya Abdi in Cakung, East Jakarta, after handing over Rp1 billion to Ahmad Fathanah caught by KPK at Le Meredien Hotel at 8.20pm that day with a girl named Maharani.

The four were taken to KPK Headquarters that night for questioning. From them KPK confiscated cash money worth Rp1 billion put in a plastic bag as an advanced payment out of a total of Rp40 billion in bribe money to be paid for commitment for a meat import quota.

KPK has searched PT Indoguna Utama office in Pondok Bambu, East Jakarta, and confiscated two computers and a number of documents from the office.

KPK has also searched the Agriculture Ministry office in Ragunan and the houses of the suspects.

PT Indoguna Utama was among four companies failing to meet requirements to be a meat importer in 2012.
