Seoul (ANTARA News/Yonhap) - South Korean rapper Psy will release a follow-up to his massive global hit "Gangnam Style" in 119 countries around the globe on Friday, his management firm said Wednesday.

The K-pop sensation originally planned to unveil "Gentleman" through online music Websites in his home country on Friday and then release it on the world market the next day.

As the different release dates confused the music industry and journalists all around the world, the rapper decided to make his new song available simultaneously on both domestic music Websites and iTunes at midnight Thursday (KST), YG Entertainment said.

The upcoming track has drawn much attention here as well as in many other countries like the United States, Britain and France.

Psy finished shooting the video of "Gentleman," which was shot in various locations throughout Seoul, on Tuesday, according to the management agency.

Earlier, he was quoted by the agency as saying that the new song will have a fast tempo that will make people really excited and the dance will "be largely in a Korean style."

After the release, Psy plans to hold a concert titled "HAPPENING" at a football stadium in western Seoul on Saturday and then go on an international promotional tour for Gentleman.

Psy became an international household name last year after Gangnam Style went on to become the most watched video on YouTube, and the first one to receive over a billion views.
