Semarang, C Java (ANTARA News) - Indonesian car racer, Rio Haryanto,20, left for Bahrain to participate in the second series of car race GP2 at Sakhir circuit, Bahrain on April 19-21.

Rio left for Bahrain from Amsterdam because he had been in Spain since April 8, 2013, Rio`s mother, Indah Pennywati said when contacted here on Tuesday.

"Rio is expected to arrive in Bahrain on Wednesday (April 17)," Indah said, adding since April 8, Rio stayed in Barcelona Spain to have physical exercise and muscle strengthening.

Afterwards, Rio from Barcelona went to Valencia to learn about the car he would drive in Bahrain.

According to Indah, in Bahrain, Rio will compete in the 5,412 kilometers long of Sakhir circuit.

When taking part in the first round in Malaysia`s Sepang circuit,

Rio failed to get a point because he only reached the 20th sequence in the first race and 18th sequence in second race.
