Jakarta (ANTARA News) - Seven terrorist suspects were killed and 13 others were arrested during several raids conducted by the Indonesian anti-terror police Densus 88 on Wednesday (May 8) in four locations in Indonesia.

"One suspect was shot dead during raid in Kebumen, three in Bandung and three others in Kendal," Spokesman of the National Police Brigade General Boy Rafli said here on Thursday.

The raids were carried out in Kebumen (Central Java Province), Bandung (West Java), Ciputat (Jakarta) and Kendal (Central Java). The seven terrorist suspects who were killed during the raids were identified as Abu Roban, Bastari, Toni, Bayu, Budi, Junet and Sarame.

The police spokesman said during the raid in Ciputat, Densus 88 officers managed to confiscate one revolver gun, 20 bullets, some jeweleries, a laptop and cash money worth Rp30 million. Meanwhile during the raid in Kendal the police seized one revolver, nine bullets, a notebook and a USB.

Meanwhile in Bandung raid, the police managed to confiscate various guns, bullets and money worth Rp6 billion.

The spokesman said early investigations indicated 20 terrorist suspects are responsible for robbery attack in three banks in Indonesia namely Bank Rakyat Indonesia in Batang (Central Java) where the suspects collected Rp790 million, Bank Rakyat Indonesia in Grobokan (Central Java) where they collected Rp630 million and Bank Rakyat Indonesia in Lampung province where they collected Rp460 million.

These 20 people are linked to the Abu Omar and Autad Rawa group whose duty is to look for money to support the activities of Mujahidin Indonesia Timur in Poso, Sulawesi, he stated.(*)
